Roofing questions? We’ve got answers.
Everything you need to know about roof replacements, repairs, costs, and our process — answered honestly by our team.

Roof Replacement
Most residential roof replacements are completed in around one week, depending on the size of the roof, the complexity of the job, site access, and weather. We explain the likely timeframe for your property during the quote.
In many cases, no. Once we have confirmed the scope of works and site-access requirements, most homeowners do not need to stay home for the full duration. If we need access to a specific area, we let you know in advance.
In many cases, yes — although there will usually be some noise and disruption while work is underway. If anything could affect safe access or power, we explain that before the project starts so you can plan accordingly.
Approval requirements depend on the scope of work. In Queensland, homeowners are responsible for making sure the right building approvals are in place before work starts, and a building certifier can advise whether approval is required. We help you understand what applies.
Yes. We remove roofing waste related to the works and tidy the site once the project is complete, leaving your property clean, safe, and ready to use.
Cost & Quotes
The cost depends on the size of the roof, the materials selected, site access, complexity, and whether any structural or asbestos work is required. The most reliable way to price a replacement is an on-site inspection and a written quote.
Yes. We give you a fixed price — what we quote is what you pay. No hidden costs and no surprises.
Materials & Products
We primarily use high-quality Colorbond® steel for roof replacements because it’s durable, low maintenance, and well suited to Australian conditions. We also work with concrete and terracotta tiles for selected repair and restoration work.
Colorbond® steel is designed for Australian conditions — heat, humidity, salt air, and heavy storms. Installed correctly, it typically lasts 20–30+ years, reflects heat to keep homes cooler, and needs far less maintenance than tile.
Repairs & Repointing
It depends on the age of the roof and the extent of the damage. If your roof is over 20 years old or has widespread damage, repeated repairs often cost more over time. We give you a clear, honest recommendation on whether a repair or replacement makes the most sense.
Common signs include cracked or crumbling pointing, loose or shifted ridge tiles, visible gaps along the ridge line, or water stains inside after rain. If the ridge capping hasn’t been maintained for some time, it’s worth having it inspected.
Licensing & Insurance
Yes. We are a QBCC-licensed contractor (Licence No. 1310998), fully insured with public liability and workers comp, and licensed for safe asbestos removal.
Yes. We are licensed for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos roofing, which is common on older Sunshine Coast homes and needs to be handled correctly.
